On December 11, the signing ceremony for the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the College of Civil Engineering and the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at the City University of Hong Kong (CityU) was successfully held. Dean and Chair Professor DAI Jian-Guo of the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at CityU, and his delegation attended the event. Representatives from the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs, along with leaders and faculty representatives from the College of Civil Engineering, participated in the ceremony, which was chaired by Vice Dean GAO Peng.

Deputy Director HU Mengjie of the Office of Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan Affairs extended a warm welcome to Professor DAI Jian-Guo and his delegation in his opening address, while providing an overview of the university’s achievements in internationalization. Professor DAI Jian-Guo introduced the distinctive educational features, renowned disciplines, and development strategies of the Department of Architecture and Civil Engineering at CityU. He expressed his expectations for deep collaboration in talent cultivation and scientific research, aiming to leverage complementary strengths for mutual development.

Dean WANG Jingfeng of the College of Civil Engineering reviewed the college’s history and expressed his vision for deepening collaboration with CityU in areas such as teaching, research, talent cultivation, and platform construction, to jointly promote disciplinary and industrial advancement. Vice Dean GAO Peng highlighted the college's achievements in education and research, as well as its successful international partnerships with the University of Lille in France and the University of Birmingham in the UK.

The MoU covers multiple areas, including faculty and student exchange, joint student training, and research collaboration. Dean WANG Jingfeng and Professor DAI Jian-Guo officially signed the memorandum on behalf of both parties, marking a new stage of institutionalized and standardized cooperation.
