On June 20, the provincial finals of the 11th "Challenge Cup · Huaan Securities" Anhui Undergraduate Entrepreneurship Plan Competition, jointly hosted by the Provincial Committee of the Communist Youth League, the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, the Provincial Association for Science and Technology, the Provincial Students' Federation, and the Wuhu Municipal People's Government, concluded successfully in Wuhu. The team "Steel Pillars of Strength" (Kang Ding Zhi Gang) from the College of Civil Engineering ultimately won the Gold Medal in the "Ecological Civilization Construction and Green Low-Carbon Development" track of the Higher Education Group.

In this competition, a total of 1,401 works recommended by 127 schools across the province were registered. Over a four-month period, following a preliminary review by the provincial organizing committee, 956 works from 127 schools participated in the provincial semi-final evaluation. After selection through internal university trials, our university submitted 18 works, of which 10 entered the provincial semi-finals, ultimately securing 7 Gold Medals and 3 Silver Medals.

Upholding the noble philosophy of "Innovating high-performance steel for the welfare of society and practicing low-carbon development to strengthen the nation," the "Steel Pillars of Strength" team poured their youthful passion into the national construction of ecological civilization. Taking technological innovation as their wings and green development as their rudder, the team strictly managed the R&D process to ensure efficient synergy. By deeply integrating multidisciplinary wisdom and precisely addressing social needs, they fully demonstrated their professional responsibility and mission, embodying the commitment of youth in the new era through practical action.

During the preparation period, the entire college worked in unity and planned ahead, with teachers from various departments responding actively and meticulously organizing the efforts. The college's "Three Major Competitions" National Center organized the preliminary review and selection of projects on February 28, specially inviting the University Youth League Committee and senior faculty members to serve as judges, attracting nearly 100 students to participate. Following the preliminary review, the center selected the best candidates to form an elite team, assisting supervisors and students in refining every detail to lay a solid foundation for the final victory.

Youth meets a flourishing age, and now is the time for progress. The excellent results achieved in this competition fully demonstrate the value pursuit of our students to "safeguard the rivers and provide thousands of homes," highlighting the deep patriotism of civil engineering youth and their mission of "serving the country through industry." These achievements are of great significance for further improving the professional level and the quality of talent cultivation of the College of Civil Engineering. The college will continue to increase investment and support for high-quality competitions, helping faculty and students strive to be pioneers of technological innovation in the new era while continuously enhancing their comprehensive qualities and capabilities.
