On December 20, 2025, the College of Civil Engineering hosted the "Hefei University of Technology - Brunel University" Collaborative Education Seminar. Dean and Chair Professor ZHOU Xiangming of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Brunel University, along with the leadership team, department heads, faculty representatives, and student representatives from the College of Civil Engineering, attended the meeting. The seminar was chaired by Vice Dean GAO Peng.

Dean WANG Jingfeng extended a warm welcome to Dean ZHOU Xiangming. He stated that this seminar marks an important milestone in the collaboration between the two schools, providing valuable exchange opportunities for faculty and students and laying a solid foundation for future cooperation in joint talent cultivation and scientific research. He expressed his hope that this exchange would further promote international collaboration and exchange between the two institutions.

Dean ZHOU Xiangming introduced the educational development of his university and school, expressing his commitment to further refining a normalized exchange mechanism and actively exploring collaborative education in emerging interdisciplinary fields to jointly cultivate high-quality talents with an international perspective.

During the meeting, Dean ZHOU Xiangming delivered an academic report titled "Journey to Carbon Neutrality in the Construction Industry: Introduction to Major R&D Projects Funded by the EU Horizon Research Program." Vice Dean GAO Peng provided an overview of the international education and development of the College of Civil Engineering.

The successful holding of this seminar has further consolidated and enhanced the strategic partnership between the two schools, injecting strong momentum into future cooperation in education, scientific research, and innovation. It holds great significance for promoting academic cooperation toward deeper levels and broader fields.
