On the afternoon of July 7, the summer social practice team of “South-to-North Water Diversion Canal Sending Far Away, Diversion River Supplementing Han Cave Transmission” from the School of Civil and Hydraulic Engineering of Hefei University of Technology went to Danjiangkou Dam to carry out the theme of “Civics and Politics Lesson in the Big Project” practical activities.

At the top of the lofty Danjiangkou Dam, the team members looked down from a height and saw a clear view in front of them, a blue wave, water and sky, as if it was the purest gift of nature. Mountains in the distance, and near the water reflect each other, constituting a shocking natural wonders, people can not help but marvel at the magnificent picture of mankind and nature coexist in harmony.

Danjiangkou Reservoir as Asia's premier artificial freshwater lake, not only is the South-to-North Water Diversion Project, the source of life, but also the national level of water protection of the bright pearl. Its water quality is so clear that it has been above the national standard of Class II for many years, and is known as the “Heavenly Pond of Asia”, which not only nourishes the vast land, but also witnesses the wisdom and determination of human beings for the protection and utilization of water resources.

Stepping into the interior of the dam, as if through a time and space tunnel, every step is stepped on the solid cornerstone of the miracle of human engineering.
