Dear Faculty and Students,

In light of the recent series of major fire incidents involving schools and students nationwide, and in accordance with the university's requirement to attend the fire evacuation and escape drill open class, the School of Civil and Hydraulic Engineering has organized a fire safety awareness and firefighting skills training session. This is to ensure the fire safety of the college's laboratories and research offices, and to enhance the fire prevention awareness and skills of both faculty and students.

The fire safety training and hands-on drill will be held on March 15, 2024 (Friday) at 9:00 AM. The session will include the following two parts:

Fire Safety Presentation: 

At 9:00 AM, all participants will gather in Room 111 of the Main Teaching Building to watch the fire evacuation and escape drill open class, followed by a fire safety presentation by the university's security office.

Firefighting Drill: 

After the presentation, a firefighting drill will be conducted on the southwest side of the Old Civil Engineering Building along the main pathway.

We kindly ask that all departments, centers, and year groups promptly notify faculty and students to ensure active participation. This training aims to effectively enhance fire safety awareness and ensure that the drill is conducted safely and successfully.
